River Valley Morgans

Okereru AJ True Grit, or Grit for short, is a friendly active animal, sound, with an excellent temperament. He is rising 5 and has had two seasons to learn what the mating process is all about. He produced a wonderful part bred filly to a neighbour's pure-bred Welsh Mountain mare who then went on to take out the Supreme Champion prize at the Foal Show in Feilding early in 2011. She is jet black and steps out beautifully. She will likely mature to about 13 hands and maybe a little more. One of his other offspring is nearly 2 months old and is out of my part bred morgan mare who is 15.3hh. He is strong, large, very amiable and is very interested in the goings on around the farm. It is hard to determine what colour he may be, but he will likely be black.

Grit has yet to be officially measured, but he is nearly 15hh. As Morgans mature quite late and grow quite a bit through their early years up to age 7/8 it is possible he will grow through 15hh. He is so much fun to watch in the paddock playing with his feed bin. He loves activity and is very easy to train. He has been started under saddle and is taking to that like most Morgans, with relish. Being keen to learn is one of the Morgan traits and we can help you with your young Morgan if you wish.
